AUDIO

We use audio in different ways. The most obvious is using Voice Recorders to record EVPs (Electronic Voice Phenomena). Our video cameras record in stereo which is another great source of audio. We also use stationary microphones that we can strategically place in our location. All these recordings help validate personnel locations if and when auditory anomalies occur. Finally, we use 2 way radios to keep in contact with each other in larger locations.

Digital Audio Recorders

During an investigation, each of our field trams carries a hand held digital audio recorder.  We also place these recorders in areas our stationary recording system will not reach.  We use these to record EVP's and noises, and to help document the events of a particular field team or in a specific area.  We use various models of Olympus & Sony recorder.  All of our recorders are USB capable.

2-Way Radios & Frequency Scanner

During investigations, we stay in touch with each other thru 2-way radios.  Gulf G.H.O.S.T. uses both Cobra and Motorola brand radios.  We also us a frequency scanner prior to an investigation, to ensure no-one else in the area is using the same frequencies as our teams, and will use it at command to monitor team radio communications during larger investigations.
